As your America First candidate for Congress, I will design purposeful legislation that first places American innovation, research, development, manufacturing, academia, and job creation!
Our Fourth Industrial Revolution is already here, powered by artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet, and unanticipated technologies.
With the will of the people of that state, county, and municipality; I propose the establishment of a Department of Technology for the statewide, county, and municipal governments.
Accordingly I propose we legislate for the federal funding to cooperate with states in formulating county-wide and state-wide offices called the Department of Technology.
The county-wide and state-wide offices of the Department of Technology would be at-large elected offices and not appointed to assure transparency, accountability, and public benefit.
The elected office of the Department of Technology at the state level would be for every four years with two-term limits. The elected office of the Department of Technology at the county level would be for every two years with two-term limits.
Likewise, I would recommend a municipal-level at-large elected Director of Technology ensures transparency, accountability, and public benefit.
Technology is accelerating way too fast for our prevailing lawmakers and elected officials to continue to do business as usual; be it at the federal, state, county, and municpal levels of goverment.
The elected office titles would be as follows:
Secretary of Technology; comparable elected offices in voting terms would be your state’s Secretary of State, Attorney General, etc.
Technology Supervisor; comparable elected offices in voting terms would be your county’s Supervisor, District Attorney, etc.
Director of Technology; comparable elected offices in voting terms would be your city’s Mayor, District Attorney, etc.
Involving an elected Secretary of Technology at the state level and a county-wide Technology Supervisor at the county level would ensure an exceptionally productive, straightforward, and answerable appropriation of funds and technology distribution for our counties, towns, cities, schools, libraries, and government agencies.
Like all elected and appointed governmental officials in America, they would be required to swear an oath to our Constitution of the United States to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Technology is developing into considerably more socially ubiquitous, economically unescapable, and technically integrated part in our personal and professional lives; consciously, unintentionally, voluntarily, or unwillingly. From election integrity, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things, and so much more, now is the time for a Department of Technology for your state, county, and city!
